Workshops & Events
Our core programme of workshops to help you plan, develop and grow your business idea.
Learn the basics of running a business, know your market and get ready to launch.
Plus meet other local businesses at regular networking events.

One to One Help
Our local SME Champions can provide one to one support and create a business information plan specific to you.
They’ll help you research your business and market using industry-standard databases and information.

Research your market
You’ll find industry-standard business information at each location, including market research to help you prepare your business plan.
Discover the latest trends, research the competition, and even find how many similar businesses are in your area.

Protect your ideas
We’ll help you get insights into protecting your intellectual property (IP), such as copyright and trademarks.
We can also help you make sure you’re not borrowing someone else’s IP.

Working space
Use the dedicated library space to work on developing your business including desks, wifi, printing, PC access, and business books to borrow.
You can even 3D print your latest prototype!
It’s your free office space.
Build a Business in GM Libraries is part funded by the European Union, with a grant of £1.3 million from ERDF funding, and managed by Manchester City Council. The project will run from January 2021-June 2023.
